everyday life

I managed to finish the dress in time for the competition! Huge sense of relief all around at the moment, not just for the dress. By the way, excuse the cheesy photo by the school flower bed - can you tell it's been a tiring day that day? Reports are nearly all done for this year, exams are over, just 4 tiny little weeks to go until the summer and the promise of rest. Who knows, I may even get to read a book or two, and...and...oh, not sure what I will do but I look forward to it anyway.
It's difficult to make plans with a baby in tow, especially now that she's walking and uber active the whole time. Holidays abroad don't sound that appealing for now and we're thinking it might just be a couple of years until a proper holiday happens again. But that's OK. The prospect of staying home with baby, cooking for her and the hard-working husband, lazing about a little, seeing old friends, having a little staycation in other words, really doesn't sound that bad at all right now.
We have been blessed with lovely weather for the past few days and it's been great to come home, not have a worry in the world (other than that darn teething!), prepare a few things in the kitchen and enjoy iPlayer - hasn't the BBC put on some great shows lately? - I got hooked to Happy Valley, the BA documentary and Welcome to Rio. Ah, nice to sit back, sip a drink and relax, hey?
